Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

This two-layer fudge offers a decadent mix of sweet and savory in one bite. Visually it gives the appearance of twice the work, although you'll know differently.

Number of Ingredients: 5 - 6

Time to Mix and Make: 30 minutes

Ready to Eat: 2.5 hours

Ingredients:

1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

½ cup chopped peanuts (optional)

1 10oz package peanut butter chips, divided

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

½ cup whipping cream

Line an 8" square pan with foil.

Melt chocolate chips with the condensed milk in a non-stick saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.

Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla, 2/3 cup peanut butter chips and nuts, if desired.

Spread evenly into the pan.

In another pan, melt remaining peanut butter chips and whipping cream over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Pour this mixture on top of the chocolate and spread evenly.

Refrigerate 2 hours until firm.

Lift fudge from the pan and remove the aluminum foil.

Cut into squares and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
